Tips For Planning Your Caribbean Honeymoon
The Caribbean is an increasingly popular honeymoon location, and not without reason. The Caribbean has everything most newlyweds could want, with romantic sunsets, picturesque beaches, and wonderful history and culture. With over 7000 islands to explore, the hardest part of planning your caribbean honeymoon could well be choosing which island to stay on!
While it is true that not all of the islands are inhabited, it is still difficult to pick the right island for your stay. Each island has its own distinctive culture and atmosphere. The good news for honeymooners, however, is that most islands offer all inclusive resorts that are ideal for newlyweds looking to have a good time on their honeymoon.
Here are a few things to must keep in mind when planning your Caribbean honeymoon.
The first thing you should do is choose an island that suits your taste – there are islands targetted towards people who like water sports, quiet, serene islands where you can relax in peace, and islands that offer great shopping, or the classic Caribbean experience with all of the culture and cuisine. If you want a typical Caribbean experience, then Jamaica has a lot to offer, for example. Choose the one that suits you, and look for an all inclusive resort on that island.
If you prefer intimacy, privacy, and seclusion then there are a number of smaller islands that would provide you complete privacy. You might like to visit Culebra and Dominica if you need privacy with your spouse. These islands don’t offer you much in terms of other facilities but yes, you can rest in warm sun and enjoy private time with your loved one.
The next thing to consider is the resort. There are lots of resorts to choose from, so pick out one that is all inclusive, and that is for adults and couples only. That way, you can be sure that you will be staying at a resort designed for couples on romantic holidays, and you won't have to worry about children making a noise or getting in the way during your stay.
Finally, when your reservations have been made, and the trip is paid for, it is time to start packing. With an all inclusive stay, you don't have to worry about meals, drinks, beach priviliges, or extra costs for activities within the resort. So, pack for a good time, and relax and enjoy your honeymoon!

Great article. I’m forwarding it to the stbh (soon to be hubby). Any Bride to be or groom looking at wedding details should read it. Too often people just book a trip to the Caribbean thinking that it’s made up of identicle islands but they are all very different. Choosing the right one is so important. My friend went to Dominica expecting big festivals and shopping and scuba. They had some of that but not what she expected. When she was complaining to me about it I thought it sounded like my dream. Different strokes for different folks.
