Building a Honeymoon Registry
What A Honeymoon Registry Can Do For You
In order to make sure that a honeymoon will be a memorable one, there needs to be deliberate planning undertaken to make sure that the best possible trip and itinerary have been planned. This can be a somewhat challenging task for those who are not very familiar with the steps needed to make sure a honeymoon is properly planned. This is where a honeymoon registry comes in handy.
A honeymoon registry is a special form of travel agency that specializes in organising honeymoons. A honeymoon registry plans out the itenerary of a honeymoon and deals with all of the details so that the couple in question can focus on planning their wedding, and relax safe in the knowledge that the honeymoon has been dealt with for them.
Let Your Guests Help
There is another unique and novel aspect to the honeymoon registry service is the fact that the service can itemize aspects of the honeymoon and then have these itemized aspects paid for as gifts by the wedding guests. This is, in effect, the actual registry itself – the various itemized components of the honeymoon become part of a “registry” and guests can donate towards the registry.
This idea is one that has been becoming increasingly popular over the past few years – perhaps as more people already have homes set up when they are getting married. The idea of guests helping with the honeymoon is much more preferable to getting several toasters or china tea sets, and, for the guests, a small cash donation to a honeymoon fund is a lot easier than trying to find and purchase the perfect gift.
Honeymoon registries may seem slightly unusual now, but if you are planning on getting married soon they are worth considering – many guests love the idea, and the benefits for the couple are huge. Traditions have their place, and a traditional ceremony is something very special, but any innovation that can make the wedding and honeymoon planning process easier is a good thing. You can expect to see honeymoon registries becoming much more popular over the next few years.

This is a really interesting idea, and one I’m going to have to look into. My fiance and I are getting married next year, but by the time our wedding rolls around, we’ll have been living together for two years. We already have everything we “need”, so if our guests could contribute towards our honeymoon, it would not only save us money, but also allow us to enjoy a nice vacation as newlyweds.
