Travel Tips For Honeymooners Who Plan To Travel Abroad
Remember if you are traveling overseas you will need a passport. If you don't have one, allow several months to apply for one – you usually get your passport more quickly, but it is best to plan for the worst.
Travelers cheques are probably the safest way of carrying money overseas – most bigger businesses will honour them, and if they go missing then you can get them replaced quickly and easily. A credit card is useful as a backup, but is not the cheapest way to spend in general.
Duty free shopping at the airport can be fun, present your ticket and passport to ensure you qualify for any discounts.
Make sure you have travel insurance – getting ill or being stranded in a foreign country is not something anyone plans for, but if it happens your travel insurance will pay for itself several times over.
Selecting Luggage
No matter where you are going, or how long you are staying, good luggage is vitally important. A well fitting, quality backpack will make any load feel a lot lighter, and a good suitcase with sturdy wheels is much nicer than a cheap suitcase that could have its wheels break or handles fall off. Remember to read the instructions regarding luggage size for your airlines carry on and checked luggage, and invest in some good name tags so that you can easily find your luggage once you arrive at the airport.
If you have prepared well then hopefully you will have the holiday of a lifetime, and started your marriage in the best possible way.

If you’re going somewhere unusual, make sure you check what kind of documentation you will need - some places require special visas, not just a passport. As the article says, it’s important to get your documentation sorted out well in advance.
Good points about the luggage - sturdy wheels and a firm outer shell makes things much nicer while you’re travelling - getting your good clothes ruined when a suitcase rips or splits isn’t a good start to a honeymoon.
