Ideas For Honeymooning In South Africa

South Africa is one of the prettiest places in the world – if you crave adventure then you would be hard pressed to find a more interesting and exciting landscape – South Africa has everything from beaches to winelands and safari areas.

If you want a varied and interesting honeymoon, with everything from big cities to ancient historical landmarks and amazing wildlife, then visit South Africa and take a tour for a honeymoon that will take your breath away and give you memories that will last a lifetime.

Relax With a Tropical Getaway

There are lots of tropical locations in South Africa – the islands such as Mauritius, the Seychelles, Zanzibar, and Mozambique, for example.  If you like to laze on the beach, go snorkeling or scuba diving, enjoy some cocktails and sample the seafood, then a tropical getaway is perfect for you.

Going on Safari

A safari honeymoon is a great way to start your married life – if you find beach and tropical holidays a little boring then the excitement of a safari could be to your tastes, and will let you explore natural, unspoilt landscapes teaming with game.  If you want a taste of the South African culture, and would like to get some privacy and be close to nature, then there are few better choices than a safari camp.

Staff at the camps will go out of their way to make your honeymoon a special experience. They are renowned for their attention to detail and extra special service. Enjoy private meals on your deck, a romantic bush dinner under the stars or a candle lit bath strewn with rose petals. Lie in bed at night in your luxury lodge or tent and listen to the sounds of the African bush - the call of the nightjar, the eerie sound of a hyena or even the roar of a lion. Once you have experienced the beauty and magic of an African safari, you will want to return for many years to come.

My partner and I are planning our honeymoon to South Africa in 2009 but its not to catch the tourist locations or venues we are going over to watch the British Lions when they tour, both Phil and I are avid rugby fans and we can’t wait, 1, to get married and 2, to watch the Lions in ZA
