Honeymoons in Anguilla

When it comes to picking out a honeymoon destination, Anguilla is one of the spots that is at the top of many peoples lists.  It is a simple, but luxurious destination, offering white, sandy beaches, fine dining, and top class resorts.  Couples love the romantic nature of the island, with plenty of secluded spots for swimming, or taking romantic walks along the beach. An Anguilla honeymoon is simply an excellent choice.

Beautiful Beaches

Anguilla has miles of beautiful, white sandy beaches. Some of the best beaches are on the west end of the island, where you will find some of the most popular resorts. Rendezvous Bay and Shoal Bay are two of the most beautiful beaches in Anguilla. Another great secluded beach is Little Bay Beach only accessible by boat.

Water Activities

Anguilla is the perfect place for snorkeling and scuba diving.  There are spectacular coal reefs along the coast line, and lots of brightly colored fish, caves, and coral gardens.  There are also some sunken ships in certain areas, which add excitement to the scuba diving experience.  One of the ships, in the Stoney Bay Marine Park, sank in the 1700s.  Some of the others are more modern, being sank by the government in recent years, and left for divers to explore.

Relaxing Games of Golf

With it's first golf course opening in 2006, Anguilla can finally meet the needs of golf lovers. The Temenos Golf Club is a Greg Norman designed course that will bring all the golf lovers to this beautiful paradise.

If you're looking for even more relaxation, stay at a spa resort where you can relieve all of your post-wedding stress. These three resorts should meet all of your expectations: Malliouhana Hotel & Spa , CuisinArt Resort & Spa,  and Cap Juluca.

Quiet Night Life

If parties are your thing, then Anguilla may not be the place for you.  Some resorts do offer BBQs on an evening, or some live entertainment, but if you want to party all night, or spend time at a casino, then you should head somewhere else, such as St Maarten – it is only a ferry trip away from Anguilla, and will be much more interesting for you.

Honeymoons in Anguilla

Anguilla aims for the more up-scale market – the resorts are not overtly formal – they do try to maintain a casual feel, but they offer high standards of service in everything from  accommodation to dining.  The best places to stay include Cap Juluca, Covecastles, the Malliouhana Hotel, and Frangipani Beach Club.  Wherever you choose, you can be sure of a quiet, romantic, and luxurious time.
