If you’ve never been in a honeymoon suite, it is important to know you’re getting your money’s worth. Based on the name (i.e. honeymoon), the suite should provide a very romantic and relaxing feel. Space is one big advantage compared to getting a standard hotel room. Honeymoon suites usually have three or more areas consisting of a living room, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom.

There are more furniture and fixtures in the suite too. More services are offered as well, such as daily massages, facial and spa treatments. Special items are available in the room for the honeymooners like a bouquet of flowers, champagne, chocolates and a present like a picture frame or a personalized fountain pen courtesy of the hotel.

To make your trip and stay as smooth as possible, make reservations a few months prior to the date of  your honeymoon so that they can make the necessary preparations. It is important to indicate that you are making reservation for your honeymoon vacation so that you can benefit from  additional privileges given only to honeymooning couples.

Initially, you book online but be sure to call the hotel a week later to finalize and reconfirm your reservation.   Get the name of the person you’re talking to so you can communicate directly with him or her from in the future if necessary.  Call again the day before you travel to the  hotel to make sure that everything is ready. This is your honeymoon, you just cannot afford for anything to go wrong.

When looking for a honeymoon suite, you should research and contact at least three hotels. Brochures, travel agents and the internet are great sources of information. Check all suite features, amenities, activities, privileges and prices.  Spare need time nor effort to make sure your honeymoon suite is "just right" to start your lifetime of love and travel.
